Scheduling
- We spoke about the Excel spreadsheet
- We spoke about meeting every two weeks where possible, and aiming for an initial 4 months!
- 4 players so we really can't play without everyone.
- Agreed to use iMessage
Table Rules
We discussed our Table rules:
- We are here to have fun
- On time pleeeeaaaase
- DM's word is final, if you think something is not being done fairly just talk to me about it
- Narrative control is super open. I firmly believe in rule of cool. I will only ever push back on something if it realllly drastically impacts the lore of the world or the game.
- This is a fully homebrewed world. There is every possibility I will have to retcon something!!!
- Combat decisions can be reversed until you hear the consequences.
- Roleplay decisions can be reversed until you role the dice.
- I don't want to deal with encumbrance/carry limits. Can we agree to just be reasonable?
- Collaborative Storytelling
Discuss House Rules
Some house rules up for discussion:
- Flanking? Not included in 2024 rules technically
- Do we want to do XP based on milestone levelling
Campaign Setting
At the heart of this adventure is a mystery/thriller. Set in a completely homebrewed world, I've built the world to have some really quick adventure for the short term - but I'm hoping to see that fleshed out in the long run!!
This isn't meant to be an ultra-high risk lethal campaign with character death as a likely outcome, however I'm also not going to hold back.
I kinda want to run it like a computer rpg, where you might actually encounter something that's too high a level for you right now and you'll need to come back to it?
Thoughts?
We ran through the lore. Introduce the basics of the Rainbovian Universe.
Open to questions and any queries about how the world works.
Mechanics of the world including how colours stain over time.
Building Characters!!
Yay this is the fun part - lets talk through stuff and try and make it fun.
Starting level 3.
Happy to homebrew stuff if we don't own the content!!
Goal is to have 3 fun characters. Whatever you guys wanna do I'm down for.
For context - there may be some time skips in here.
I also want to try and bring in your characters back stories. We have plenty of time now as a group to come up with the four characters and how they know eachother.
What's Next:
First of all, everyone needs to decide if they want to play!! :)
Then we need to find a time for our first game!
I'll message everyone once we have a time that works and we go from there!
