Party Present

Introduction

Following the battle at the Mixing Expanse, our party were met with some initial hostility from the different colour courts who all came out of the mixing expanse with ~30 guards at the end of the battle.
The Green Court leader Lady Verdantia (A Green tiefling) was out securing the grounds with her Colour Court Ambassador Jade 'mentioned' Forest.

The party were initially taken to be taken prisoner before Vermillion convinced them that they had just done a service and should at least be treated with respect rather than taken prisoner.

They are shown to a nice room that is guarded by 3 guards (1 from each of the Primary Colours).

The party took a little bit of time to get to know eachother before they were taken away by each of their colour court leaders to be questioned.

Vermillion

Was questioned by Queen Rubina and Crimson Blaze.

He doesn't answer them fully but does say that he helped kill the attackers and expects to be paid for the work that they were their to perform (1000gp for Ooooff's performance).

He also manages to get them to tell him that Goldenspire ended up being coronated by Luceun Braun while they have been imprisoned.

Horth

Questioned by Goldenspire who is clearly rude and condescending.
Horth answered 10 questions with a total of 3 syllables.

Vaelith

Questioned by Dusk Veil, not the leader of their court (Midnight).

Dusk is polite and suggests that he knows that they aren't guilty of anything except reacting to an attack.
As he speaks to her he draws a small symbol in the dust on the table in front of them.
A dagger mark that identifies him as a member of the rogues guild. He then draws two overlapping circles an ear and three slashes. Thieves code for people are listening don't talk about anything important.
He looks her in the eyes and says.
Plant patiently and cackle from an upright cove will aboule. The Rascal will Puzzle-cause them through this Onion jem. Get your sharper cull and make some birds of a feather who'll cap.
Which is Thieves Cant for:
Wait patiently and information from a trustworthy source will come. You will understand them through this signet ring. Get your conman friend and make some new friends who'll help.

He finally drawers one more symbol - 2 small circles side by side with an arch over the top of them.

Ooooff

Lord Ciel questions Ooooff. A tall thin pale elf who wears a navy blue suit and is extremely formal.
Azure Tide, a Winter Eladrin. A talk Fey-like creature - with white-blue leaves and blueish veins running down their arms in swirls and patterns.

Similar Questions - very formal.
Ooooff manages to convince him that they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Keanu

Eventually questioned by Lady Verdantia - a no nonsense green tiefling. She has a longbow and quiver on her back with a perfectly strung bow. She's extremely brisque and asks more specific questions about their combat tactics and if there's anything that he can recall about fighting them.

and then?

The party were then taken back to a nicer room but ordered to remain while a decision was made on what was to be done with them.
They each share some of what was told to them.
As they wait a secret entrance opens at the back of the room and a short indigo person steps forward.
He apologised for his tardiness and introduces himself as Midnight - the leader of the indigo court.
He's playing with a ring on his finger that Vaelith recognises as having the symbol that Dusk drew earlier.

He tells them that his priority is managing the affairs of the whole of Rainbovia and ensuring that all of Rainbovia is secret and stable.
He has seen the bodies and can't believe that there are grey-scaled individuals.

He hasn't seen any before in his life - but they look so different to Lemon in the cells it doesn't really make sense.

Asks them for the party's help in investigating and finding out what they can.

He will see that they are freed and in return asks them to see if they can get any answers from Lemon on what happened and how he ended up there.

Additionally he shows them all the symbol of the Indigo Secret Service (two dots with the arc over the top).
Once they know anything more he asks if they will come and se him at the Indigo Court.
Encourages them to go to a clearing 5kms north east and find a rock that he will meet them at.

And then?

They visit Lemon and Lemone in the cells.
The party split up when they realise that Jade 'mentioned' Forest is in the cells currently questioning Lemone.
Horth, Ooooff and Vermillion go and interrogate Lemon on what happened to him.

They learn:
The paleness of his body is distinctly different to the grey-ness/blackness of the people they were facing in the battle.
Specifically it feels like he's greyed out like he's been drained of colour, the people they fought looked like they were greyed-in almost.
There appears to be a little bit of light yellow still at Lemon's temples. 10 spots of colour 5 on each side of his head.

He can't remember much after getting back in the carriage and leaving them at the side entrance.
He remembers feeling a bit unwell so he got in the back of the carriage and Lemone drove the carriage. They were heading back to a local town to collect their payment for delivering the goods.

Vermillion uses suggestion to get him to tell the truth - but notices that some sort of spell has been done on him to hide his answers.
He has a brief moment where he remembers someone standing behind him and he feels the pressure on his head. As if someone is holding his head with their hands but he doesn't remember much else.

As he says this a ballbearing appears out of the air and kills him.

Keanu goes and attempt to sit in on Jade 'mentioned' Forest who is interrogating Lemone. Vaelith waits outside.
They Learn:
He drove the cart home as his brother was sick and wanted to sit in the back.
He was concerned when he hadn't heard from his brother halfway back to their village so he stopped and checked and saw he wasn't inside.

Keanu talked Jade Forest into heading out to check the perimeter, and Vaelith snuck in and threatened him into sharing more that he remembered being stopped by 5 guards on their way out of the fair and they checked the carriage and didn't comment at all on his brother being there. He thought it was odd, but assumed maybe they just saw his brother was sick and asleep.

At the same time as he says this a ballbearing appears out of the air and also kills him.
